Veteran’s Day Donation with the Franklin Foundation

Veteran's Day Clothing Drive

The Underdog Foundation partnered with the The Franklin Foundation to host a Veteran’s Day Food & Clothing Drive.

Donating to a Community in Need

On Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2020, The Underdog Foundation partnered with the Franklin Foundation to host a Veteran’s Day Food & Clothing Drive to provide premade meals, nonperishables and winter accessories to the homeless community on Colfax at the community Veteran’s center.

TUF’s volunteers donated $250 worth of worth of gloves, hats, hand warmers and snacks for people of all ages. Efforts were combined in partnership with the Franklin Foundation’s 30 pairs of socks, as well as more than 20 premade meals provided by the local recreation center.

We gathered with members of TFF on Veteran’s Day at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 501 on Colfax to distribute what we had had collectively gathered to passersby’s in need. All goods that were not handed out were donated to the Volunteers for America shelter down the street.

Special thanks to Garcelle Franklin from the Franklin Foundation for helping us coordinate this drive!
